Villa Scacciapensieri becomes the open-air stage for the music of the "Jazz Duo" Emanuele Marsico voice-trumpet and Joseph Nowel piano.
On Thursday 24 August 2023, we look forward to another unmissable event of the Scacciapensieri Festival - Soirées Fantasques, amidst jazz music and excellent food prepared by our chefs at the InVilla Restaurant.
Making the evening magical will be the music of Gershwin, Carmichael, Rodgers, and Nerne played by the mastery of two young musicians.
Emanuele Marsico, born in 1996, began his trumpet studies at the age of 14. A 2022 graduate of Siena Jazz University, he boasts his own discography and collaborations with the likes of:
Silvia Bolognesi, Piero Frassi, Dave Burrell, Nico Gori, Andrea Beninati, Sabir Mateen, Camilla Battaglia, Alessandro Paternesi, Luca Barbarossa, Fabrizio Bosso, Michael Mayo, Bernardo Guerra, Nick the nightfly and participation in various music festivals such as: "Jazzit Fest", "Musica sulle bocche - Alghero", "Ambria Jazz festival", "Il jazz italiano per L'Aquila", "Cerkno jazz festival", "Novara jazz festival", "Teatro Grande di Brescia and many others.
Joseph Nowel, class of 1994, was born in England with Italian origins. Passionate about piano from the age of 4, he began his studies by first attending the 'Pimlico Special Music' course in London and later at the 'R. Franci' Conservatory in Siena. Graduating magna cum laude in 2019 from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen (Belgium), he is now part of the collective trio 'Katharsis' with Michele Bondesan and Giuseppe Sardina.
He has various groups and musical projects to his credit between Italy and Belgium, ranging from jazz to classical music, from improvisation to rock.
